Global hospitality association Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) co-hosted Naseba's 20th annual Hotel Technology Summit that took place this week from November 16-17, 2016 at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Dubai, UAE. HFTP association leaders were in attendance, and participated in the summit's educational program. HFTP Global President Lyle Worthington, CHTP, served as the chairman for this year's Hotel Technology Summit.

This year's Hotel Technology Summit introduced more than 150 pre-screened buyers from the Middle East – including: hotel owners, operators and technology consultants – to the best solution providers in a focused 5-star business-to-business environment. During the event, hotel technology leaders presented innovative solutions, relevant case studies and led interactive panel discussions. Additionally, the global technology providers shared insights into the latest hospitality innovations in keynote speeches.

"HFTP is proud to continue its role in the success of Naseba's Hotel Technology Summit," said HFTP CEO Frank Wolfe, CAE. "We look forward to extending our lasting relationship with Naseba, and global reach into the Middle Eastern market, at the premier HITEC® Dubai in the Fall of next year."

Wolfe, a frequent hospitality spokesman, participated again at this year's summit by presenting the summit's introductory remarks, and explaining HFTP's Global Hospitality Accounting Common Practices (GHACP) international educational resource. Worthington and HFTP Immediate Past President Arlene Ramirez, CHAE, CHE, CHIA, MBA, also participated in the summit's program.

Worthington acted as the moderator for interactive panel discussions, featuring key decision-makers from leading hotel groups, which focused on smart hospitality solutions to increase profitability in turbulent times. He also officially announced the upcoming HITEC Dubai that HFTP will co-produce with Naseba next Fall. Ramirez explored technology innovations and IT solutions in accounting and financial management in the hospitality industry; she explained how innovation can unlock business growth.

"As one of our major supporters in the United States, we were thrilled to have HFTP's support as a co-host at this year's Hotel Technology Summit in Dubai," said Nicholas Watson, managing director at Naseba. "We are extremely pleased to be able to combine resources with a global hospitality powerhouse such as HFTP – it is beneficial to both of our markets as well as the industry overall."

The summit's format is comprised of research and pre-qualification, advance notice of buyers, panel discussions, keynote presentations, one-on-one meetings, a networking lunch and a product showcase. Last year, HFTP was named the association sponsor for the Hotel Technology Summit where HFTP provided summit attendees with relevant industry reports and articles to promote education within hospitality.
