As part of its ongoing social responsibility efforts, global hospitality association Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) will hold its second HFTP Helps silent auction fundraiser at this year's Annual Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada USA. Created to support the local communities that host HFTP's Annual Convention each October, this year's HFTP Helps fundraiser will benefit Three Square, Southern Nevada's only food bank.

HFTP will donate one hundred percent of the silent auction proceeds and monetary donations directly to the charity. HFTP Helps 2016 will be in conjunction with the Annual Convention's President's Evening event taking place on October 21, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada USA.

"HFTP initially started partnering a social responsibility project with its events to give back to the local communities where they are located, beginning with HITEC 2015 in Austin, Texas," said HFTP CEO Frank Wolfe, CAE. "We received extensive support from HFTP members and HITEC attendees, which encouraged us to continue the program on a regular basis. This year I am happy to continue the tradition of hospitality by bringing food to the table of Nevada residents who receive assistance via Three Square."

Participants will have the opportunity to join HFTP in assisting Three Square to help fight to end hunger by providing wholesome food assistance to residents of Lincoln, Nye, Esmeralda and Clark Counties. Each monetary donation and/or silent auction gift further assists Three Square's efforts of providing food to struggling individuals and families at risk of hunger in the designated communities. Last year, the food bank distributed more than 38 million pounds of food – the equivalent of more than 31 million meals.

During the HFTP Helps silent auction, 2016 Annual Convention attendees will have the option to bid on numerous items such as hotel stays, rounds of golf and bottles of wine from donors around the world. For those who are unable to attend Annual Convention this year, and wish to simply donate funds, an online portal has been set-up for convenience.

If you are interested in donating an auction item, contact HFTP Digital Marketing Coordinator Derick Smith at [email protected] or complete the online donation form. Item suggestions include food gift baskets, hotel room nights, spa packages, golf rounds, gift cards and more. For more information, visit the HFTP Helps website.

Annual Convention 2016 will take place from October 19-22, 2016 at Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada USA.
